The Urban Transport Alliance promotes sustainable transportation solutions and aligns concrete business opportunities for Swedish companies within the field of transportation. The Alliance was solidified through an MoU agreement in 2017 during the Swedish Kings visit in Indonesia.
Since 2021, Sweden has committed to support the electromobility transition together with TransJakarta regarding electric bus solutions and charging infrastructure. SPO Urban Transportation Indonesia 2022 is aligned with Smart Transportation ecosystem e-mobility agenda and KPIs.
How.
Engaging with the Indonesian Ministry of Transport and Jakarta government to align with planning and support with filling gaps in the electrification transition and BRT development. By collaborating with Indonesia's Ministry of Transportation and sustainable Swedish transportation companies, the Urban Transportation Alliance helps Indonesia reach its electrification agenda through securing procurement of Swedish content while also packaged with Swedish funding (e.g. export credits via SEK/EKN).

(1) BRT system infrastructure development between Axis, Gunnebo, Scania, Volvo, ABB and more.
(2) Collaboration is within the field of electromobility development (net zero and electrification agenda) involving Volvo, Scania, Hitachi Energy, Gunnebo, etc.
(3) Gunnebo sold 250 new gates to TransJakarta and BRT operators in key cities, worth 3.1 million USD.
